Creative Process

Creative Process is a type of experiential therapy, designed with the goal of bringing the subconscious process into the forefront. This healing modality helps to increase insight and awareness of self, reduce stress and vulnerability to uncomfortable emotions and improve self-esteem. We all have a creative part of ourselves, and there is no need to be a "good artist" in order to join the group. The group weaves together a creative art experiential, mindfulness and interpersonal therapy. Process time is non-judgmental, allows for feedback from therapists and peers, and encourages self-reflection. Art supplies are provided.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral therapy that weaves mindfulness and acceptance into practice. The skills training group teaches behavioral skills to support mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Dialectical is defined as "synthesis" or "integration of opposites." In order to create a healthy life, it is necessary to find the balance between opposing forces, for example: acceptance versus change. In order to change, we first must radically accept the present reality that there is a problem; thus, there are two opposing truths that exist and must be integrated. DBT helps you to become aware of and balance these opposing forces in your life, while also teaching important skills to help you cope when challenges inevitably arise. The group meets twice weekly, and 12-18 months of attendance is recommended to fully master the skills.

Group Process

Our group process offerings are a safe place to experiment with new ways of expressing oneself and connecting with others. The group is unstructured and open in format, meaning there is no agenda and group discussions are not topical in nature. Members will be encouraged to express feelings and thoughts openly. The group space is an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of self, develop healthy interpersonal relationships with others, deepen empathy, increase mindfulness and the ability to just notice while learning how to react effectively. The goal is that each member will be able to apply what they have learned in the process group into their daily lives. Adolescent and adult groups are offered.

Guided Mindfulness

Do you want to dive deeper into your mindfulness practice? Join us for a weekly Guided Mindfulness Group. In this group you will be offered a brief check in, and then be guided through a unique, supportive mindfulness practice tailored for the group’s needs in that moment. Techniques of mindfulness practice will be discussed and encouraged. The session will close with a process of what came up in the session, and participants will be supported in their home practice. This group is suitable for all levels of practice.

Mind-Body Balance

Mind-Body Balance is a semi-structured group designed for members who struggle with physical health challenges like recurrent abdominal pain, gastrointestinal disorders, menstrual health complaints, chronic pain, systemic inflammation, chronic fatigue and energy management challenges, body dissatisfaction, and/or challenges with weight management that interfere with mental health. Evidence-based and innovative treatment methods will be offered to help calm and balance the mind, decrease anxiety, improve mood, heal the body, reduce systemic inflammation, harmonize hormones, balance weight and create a harmonious relationship between your mind and body. Treatment will be rooted in the principles of health and nutritional psychology, and functional and biological medicine, and include motivation management, mindfulness, lifestyle practices and life skills, intuitive eating practices, and personalized meal and body movement plans. The group provides a space to build a healthy and peaceful relationship between mind and body; letting go of shame, criticism, and obsession. Additionally, members will be offered space to share about their experiences, and receive feedback and support from peers. No fad diets or quick fixes will be offered - this group supports root-level healing.

Pain Management Skills Training and Support

Pain Management Skills Training and Support is a semi-structured group designed for members who experience chronic pain. Psycho-education about chronic pain will be offered. Additionally, members will be taught, and given the opportunity to practice, effective coping skills to expand their pain management toolbox, such as mindfulness meditation and activity scheduling. Lastly, members will be encouraged to express feelings and thoughts openly, and offered space to share about their experience with, and receive feedback from peers and experts in chronic pain management.

Women’s Circle

Women's Circle is a support group for women to process, share, explore, learn skills, heal from within, and encourage one another to live authentically in mind, body, heart, and spirit. Arguably, there has never been a time in history more important than now for women to come together to support one another. This group will encourage empathic connection with self and others to set personal growth into motion. Aspirationally, this healing will ripple through our families, communities, and create a global shift toward harmony. Emphasis will be placed on personal development, integrity, emotional regulation, purpose, interpersonal relationships, use of voice, inner and outer knowing, sense of self and other, and identity development with respect to ethnicity and culture, gender identification and sexual orientation.
