Group Therapy at Illuminate Wellness
Healing and learning together through connection, presence, and shared experience.
Some of the most meaningful healing happens in community, where listening, reflection, and support create space for growth. At Illuminate Wellness, our group therapy offerings create space to learn new skills, build supportive connections, and share experiences with peers who truly understand. In every group, you are met with respect, compassion, and the reminder that you are not alone.

Creative Process Group
A type of experiential therapy designed to bring subconscious patterns into awareness. This group supports insight, stress reduction, and self-esteem through creative expression. No artistic skill is required. Every person carries creativity within them. Sessions weave together art experiences, mindfulness, and interpersonal process. Time is given for reflection and supportive feedback in a nonjudgmental environment. Art supplies are provided.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group
Blends mindfulness, acceptance, and practical skills for navigating life’s challenges. Skills taught include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The word “dialectical” reflects the integration of opposites, such as acceptance and change. In DBT, participants learn that lasting change begins with radical acceptance of the present moment. Groups meet twice weekly, and 12 to 18 months of participation is recommended for full benefit.
Group Process (Adolescent and Adult)
Provides a safe space to practice new ways of expressing yourself and relating with others. Unlike structured skills groups, these sessions are open and unstructured, inviting authentic sharing of thoughts and feelings. Members are encouraged to explore patterns of connection, deepen empathy, increase mindfulness, and build healthy relationships. Both adolescent and adult groups are offered.
Guided Mindfulness Group
A supportive space to deepen mindfulness practice with guidance and structure. Each session begins with a brief check-in, followed by a unique mindfulness practice tailored to the group’s needs. Practices may include breathwork, body awareness, or guided imagery. Sessions close with reflection and discussion, helping participants integrate mindfulness into daily life. Suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
Integration Circle
A supportive gathering for those processing psychedelic-assisted therapy and other medicine journeys. Members share insights, challenges, and intentions within a safe and confidential space. Facilitators guide reflection and discussion, helping participants weave personal growth into daily life. The circle emphasizes respect, compassion, and the wisdom of shared experience, reminding each member that transformation is most sustainable when it is supported in community.
Mind-Body Balance Group
Designed for those living with ongoing health challenges such as chronic pain, fatigue, inflammation, or difficulties with body image and weight. This group integrates health psychology, nutritional psychology, and functional medicine to support mind-body healing. Practices include mindfulness, lifestyle tools, intuitive eating, and gentle body movement. Members are invited to share openly and receive peer support while building a more compassionate relationship with their bodies.
Pain Management Skills Training and Support Group
Offers education about chronic pain and teaches effective coping tools. Members practice skills such as mindfulness meditation, pacing, and activity scheduling. The group also provides space for open sharing and peer support. The goal is to reduce suffering and build a sense of community and resilience.
Women’s Circle
A supportive group for women to process, share, and grow together. The circle encourages connection with self and others, authenticity, and empowerment. Themes include emotional regulation, relationships, voice and expression, and identity development across culture, gender, and orientation. Healing within the circle is meant to ripple outward into families, communities, and beyond.
Yoga Group
A gentle and supportive space to explore the connection between body and mind. Whether new to yoga or deepening an existing practice, each session is designed to help release stored emotional energy and calm the nervous system. Classes are offered online, with the option to participate with your camera on or off. Modifications are provided, making this group accessible for all levels.
